Lefkada este o insul\u0103 din Marea Ionic\u0103 \u0219i face parte din complexul insular Eptanisa. Se afl\u0103 \u00eentre insulele Corfu \u0219i Kefalonia. Este foarte aproape de \u021b\u0103rmurile continentului vestic al Greciei. Doar o mic\u0103 f\u00e2\u0219ie de mare separ\u0103 insula de Akarnania \u0219i un pod plutitor de cincizeci de metri le conecteaz\u0103.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

 Lefkada acoper\u0103 o suprafa\u021b\u0103 de 302,5 kilometri p\u0103tra\u021bi \u0219i este a patra insul\u0103 ca m\u0103rime din complexul Eptanese, cu o popula\u021bie de 23 000 de persoane. Lefkada, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu insulele Meganissi, Kalamos, Kastos, Scorpios, Skorpidi, Mathouri, Sparti, Thilia, Kythros \u0219i alte insule mai mici din jurul lor, constituie provincia Lefkada cu ora\u0219ul Leukada drept capital\u0103 \u0219i este \u00eemp\u0103r\u021bit\u0103 \u00een 6 municipalit\u0103\u021bi (Lefkada, Ellomenos, Apollonion, Karyas, Sfakioton \u0219i Meganissi) \u0219i dou\u0103 comitate (Kalamos \u0219i Kastos).<\/span><\/div>\n

Pe partea de vest a insulei, care este destul de abrupt\u0103, exist\u0103 multe plaje lungi cu nisip.
